History

Rita opened the shop on 1st December 1999, having no experience of retail, or much understanding of what she was doing, but with the blind faith that "if she enjoyed these things then others would too".

With Elsie's help for the first 6 months, they "plunged in". Customers were great, allowing stock to be ordered in and advising on what they wanted to see stocked.

Slowly stock levels were built then it was possible to employ more help.

Jennifer joined the team part-time in 2003, followed by Brenda in 2006.

We relish the though of a downturn, as more people will have "stay-cations" - staying home and being creative.

Unleashing creativity is what we are all about!

at the front of the beautiful Cobblestones Museum complex - well worth a visit!
