September 2009
Hello,
Long time, no word, I know, but it's not because I've been lazy. Quite the contrary actually. I've been on a learning vertical. Over the last year, we noticed a real fall away in people attending classes to the stage where we'd put out a list and hardly any of them would happen, so, I decided to try something different. I'm now putting you in charge of what we run. If you can get a couple of friends, or even aquaintances, to join you for a class we'll make it happen. My website has been revamped and that is where all the possible classes we can run will be put for you to choose. The learning vertical I referred to earlier was me learning how to actually get them onto the website, but now I'm in charge and we are away. I will be continually adding to the list of both classes and products. Just go to www.craftersheaven.co.nz/classes to check them out. Speaking of which, I do have one person who wants to do a machine quilting workshop. Any other takers please? If you are receiving this as a paper version, then I won't be writing as often as in the past. It is much faster to keep the website up to date. All future newsletters will be posted on www.craftersheaven.co.nz/news, so it's worth checking in every month or so. While on the website, you can also sign up for the email version of the newsletters. On 2nd October, I'm off to Wellington to a seminar called "A Day of Colour" with Michael Wilcox, all about understanding aspects of mixing colours and colour theory. It sounds like a great seminar. I have more details on the website for anyone interested in joining me. That's it from me in the meantime. Hope you are enjoying the spring weather - I know I'm feeling less like hibernating and a bit more joyful. Anyone with anything to do with colour should consider this!
