The Hunters Star is a block that packs a lot of punch yet can be done quickly and easily. It can be made scrappy with fat quarters or more controlled with two colourways or two colourways of main fabrics and a third colour for star points.
To make the 9" finished blocks, two fat quarters will yield 4 blocks with some useable fabric left. If buying metreage, then .45m each of light and dark will yield 10 blocks.
To make a quilt 72" square (64) blocks in total) will require 3.6m each of light and dark fabrics.
To make the 6" finished blocks, 2 fat 10ths of light and dark will yield 4 blocks.
