9 fabrics will produce 18 machine pieced ‘Stack and Slash’ blocks.  The colours and prints on the nine co-ordinating fabrics must be different for the maximum effect and I recommend that you choose a variety of lights, darks, tone on tone patterns and feature prints for the block. Cost $50 plus materials.

Needs List

There are 2 versions of this quilt, the choice will be yours.

• .40cm each of nine coordinating prints – see above.
• 1.2m of an accent fabric for the narrow sashing strips within the block.(version 2 only).
• Board, Long Ruler and Rotary cutter with a new blade.
• 12 ½” square for version 1 or a 15” square for version 2.
• Pen and paper,
• Neutral thread.
• Sewing Machine and general sewing accessories.
