Diamonds and Stars Needs List

To make a quilt top 60" square (without borders) 36 blocks

• 1m feature fabric

• 2x .55m for 4-patches or 1.1m of same fabric

• 1.3m light fabric for background

• 1.3m dark fabric for "swooshes"

To make 4 blocks as a practice

• .2m feature fabric (more if fussy cutting)

• 2x .1m for 4 patches

• .3m of light fabric for background

• .3m of dark fabric for "swooshes"

You will also need

• sewing machine, cleaned, oiled and with new needle

• thread to blend with fabrics

• cutter, mat and ruler

• square ruler 4.5" or larger or ruler 4.5" wide or wider

• pencil with fine hard lead

• scissors, pins

• lunch

There has been a suggestion of making those blocks with scraps which will give another dimension to the project.
